Brief research overview
In order to understand the dropping out process, it is important to understand the perspective of both teachers and learners, from a transnational perspective. The project will produce two outcomes:
1. A questionnaire to measure the perceptions of students, teachers and of all stakeholders from educational institutions on various aspects of the school atmosphere and educational practices
- A catalogue of recommendations for institutions about the development of options for intervention likely to support the retention of young people in school.
Main objectives
This research is aimed at:
- Finding strategies to prevent young people from “dropping out” from the educational and vocational system. To that end, we need to know the reasons behind leaving school. It therefore is important, in order to understand the young person’s trajectory, to simultaneously take into account school, family and personal influences.
