“I am very interested in the positions of various actors from tertiary teacher training institutions (in particular for special needs) towards the mandate of inclusion and what is playing out between what is expected from their role by third parties (Mendras, 2000) and their own conception of their role”.
After studies in curative school pedagogy and educational sciences at the University of Fribourg, Corinne Monney worked for a dozen years as a special needs teacher and then as a special needs teaching inspector for the French-speaking part of the canton of Fribourg. Since 2011, she has been an Associate Professor at the HEP Vaud in the field of special needs pedagogy.
She has continued to train during her time at the HEP Vaud and graduated successively with an MAS and a Doctorate. Since August 1, 2021, she has been managing the special needs teacher training at the HEP Valais.
Her research work mainly focuses on the role of educators and inclusive school.
In her current projects, among other things, she investigates, in partnership with the University of Sherbrooke, potential role variations taking place during the period of Covid-19.
