Débora Poncelet (PhD) is Associate Professor in Educational Sciences at the Faculty of Humanities, Education and Social Sciences of the University of Luxembourg.
Travaux
Her research interests have mainly been focusing on family educational strategies and family-school-community relationships. She is particularly interested in the study of the effect of family-school relationships and parental involvement on students’ school perseverance process. The family context and educational attitudes of parents can be protective or risk factors of dropping out.
She is vice-head of the Bachelor Degree in Educational Sciences (BScE). She also teaches, in this degree, courses related to “The differentiation of learning”, “The professional development portfolio and “The school-family relationship”.
She is representative for Luxembourg in the « Association internationale de Formation et de Recherche en éducation Familiale » (AIFREF). She is scientific representative in the “Laboratoire accrochage scolaire et alliances éducatives” (Lasalé) for the University of Luxembourg.
