“I am interested in the educational experience of students in primary and secondary I grades that are instructed in France, by exploring more specifically the processes involved in dropping out of school, ethno-racialization and ethno-racial discrimination. ”
Iman Ben Lakhdhar graduated with a Brevet de Technicienne Supérieure (BTS) [Higher Technical Diploma] in social work as well as an early childhood diploma. Additionally, she holds a master's in educational sciences. For the last 4 years, she has been teaching classes at the Inspé institute [Higher National Institute of Teaching and Education] in Nice. Iman Ben Lakhdhar also intervened periodically at the HEP Vaud. In addition, she taught preschool pupils in Canada (Longueuil) for one year after having been a project manager at the Education Department at the Villeurbanne (France) Town Hall for six months.
Iman Ben Lakhdhar has finished working on a project at Lasalé in collaboration with the Direction de l’Instruction Publique, de la Formation et la Jeunesse in Geneva (Geneva's Public Schools Authority) on the compulsory education up to 18 years of age for young minors in a situation of dropout.
She is currently participating in the Citized project mobilizing several European countries around the issue of education for citizenship.
